BR Baby

My mom, Clayton and I went to Baton Rouge for a few days to surprise my brother for his 30th birthday.  Clayton enjoyed her first visit to Baton Rouge and I'm sure will make many more trips before checking into Miller Dorm for her freshman year.
"Mom, I'm hungry...Quit dressing me up and give me a ba-ba!"
I'd move back to Baton Rouge just for the food....Yum!
Yes, I'll "allow" her to go to Ole Miss or any other school...may just not visit her as much :)

Home Happiness

Weekends at our house.  Gosh, I'll miss it...if/when it ever sells.
And I promise we sometimes do get off the couch but these pics aren't convincing.

Happy 2 months!

Time has flown by and Clayton is 2 months old today!  To celebrate she stayed in her pjs, drank ba-bas galore, napped a lot, and enjoyed being snowed in.
Aftermath of cereal this morning:

She ended the day with pouting because she didn't get the pony she wanted.
(Her two month doctor visit and bad shots come tomorrow.)

January Phone Favorites

I take a bunch of phone pics to text to Harris while he's at work.  Here are some of my favorites from January:

Sleepy Baby

Clayton has exciting news to share.... she sleeps all night long and in her own bed!!!  And her mom is thrilled.

1st Stroller Ride

January 24, 2011

1st Road Trip

Clayton went on her first weekend road trip to our hunting camp in Louisiana (January 21-23).  She slept most of the way.
In Vicksburg, I decided to change her diaper in the close quarters of a packed car, which meant in my lap, while my parents went in the grocery store.
This is the outcome:
After a wardrobe change, we made it to our destination and had a wonderful relaxing weekend.
Just the beginning of them giving Uncle John trouble.

Vocabulary Mishap

When I was younger I remember a neighbor telling me, "I can see your epidermis!"  I had no clue what he was talking about and worried I was exposing myself until he finally explained.

So, I decided to tell Mary (my 8 yr old niece), "I can see your epidermis!"  After she looked herself over and made sure everything was covered, I explained that epidermis was your skin.  She decided to go tell PawPaw (my dad) her new 'joke'...

She ran up to him and said, "I can see your uterus!"  He looked at me really confused and wide-eyed.  I said, "No Mary-epidermis."  She said, "Oh, then what's your uterus?"  I said, "where a baby is in your belly."  She laughed and said, "I must have heard you or my mom say that.  I got confused."  (Not sure that uterus is a topic of our conversations even if we were pregnant at the same time but whatever.)

A week or so later my sister called and asked if I had introduced epidermis into Mary's vocabulary.  I said, "yes."  She said, "Well, she told me she could see my uterus!"

Oops, maybe that wasn't such a good idea on my part.  I can't imagine what her teacher thinks goes on in our family.
