5 Months Old

Charles at 5 months old:

• 4 months, 2 weeks- rolls from back to stomach
• A hair grabber.  Has pulled out chunks of Clayton's hair.  She is a good sport about it and we just say, "Charles, we don't pull hair!"  
• Has discovered his lungs and likes to use them.  We describe it as T-rex screaming.
• Used to only be a stomach sleeper but sleeps frequently on his back now that he rolls over.  
• Wiggle worm when changing his diaper.  His increase in mobility is beginning to make diaper changing more tricky.  
• Gets on all fours and moves his legs forward but hasn't figured moving arms yet to crawl.  He will lunge forward and then gets back up on his legs.  So when we put him in front of the iPad he will lunge/scoot his way to it and then you have to move him back.  It's a constant battle.  
• Loves watching Elmo on Ipad or tv in car.  He will scream out loud in excitement.  Thought it was just the color movement but then when I put on other movies in the car, he doesn't scream.  It's truly loves Elmo.
• Drinks about 4 ounces of his bottle and then when he gets sleepy he likes to snuggle and drink the rest of it to fall asleep.  I'm enjoying this snuggle time with my boy.
• Puts everything into his mouth.  Very oral at the moment with sucking, gnawing, and drooling.
• Still a great sleeper.  His bedtime is typically around 7:30 and he wakes up around 8.  I do occasionally have to give him his pacifier in the middle of the night.  His Mimi and PawPaw would say otherwise though as he wakes up frequently in the night at their house.  He knows they are suckers and will get up and give him and bottle.
• Napping twice a day.  Great napper and I've made it a point to not shut his door while he is napping and continue with the same noise level as if he were asleep.  This has worked well and I even vacuum in his room while he sleeps and he isn't phased.
• Smiles all the time.  He is a very happy baby!!!  
• His eyes are blend of three colors.  The edge is a little blue, and then they are green with a touch of brown.  I am thrilled he he has my eyes.  
• Lights up when he sees Clayton.  They 
• Mouth is a never ending water fountain of drool.  
• No teeth yet
• Sits in his high chair while we eat and plays with his toys
• Doesn't like spoon feeding and says he will stick to eating his food from the infant feeder for now.
• Likes a pacificer to suck on until he is good and asleep.  Then he will spit it out.  
• Still wearing mostly daygowns and an occasional bubble or diaper set.  He does have a few Kissy Kissy outfits he wears.  I'm just as picky or more with his clothes.  Love sweet baby boy clothes.
• Size 2 diapers are getting snug but he is still wearing them until we finish with this box.
