1st Easter Egg Hunt

I took Clayton to the Highland Church of Christ Easter egg hunt for her first egg hunt.  Yep, we were egg hunt crashers as it's around the corner from my parent's house.

She was more interested in putting the eggs in her mouth

and staring at the other kids.

I would hand her an egg and she would occasionally put it in her basket.

Certainly not interested in the Easter Bunny.

1st Easter Bunny

Clayton liked the Easter Bunny from afar.  But up close, not particularly.

15 Months Old Check-Up

We had to reschedule due to the stomach bug hitting the family so she is almost 16 months but we went yesterday for Clayton's 15 month check-up.  She weighs 24 pounds 9 ounces (75 percentile) and is 33" (90 percentile).  Check out her last appointment for all her stats.

The nurse said the 15 and 18 month old check-ups are the worst since they know what is going on.  And this certainly was the case for Clayton.  She cried when she got weighed.  She cried when Dr. Y checked her out and she certainly cried when she got her shots.  The appointment was pretty much torture for Clayton.

Ella was also at the doctor for her 18 month old check-up.

My favorite part of the visit was when I asked him if it was normal that she gets on our kitchen counters.  He said that I needed to put her in time-out to make her aware these behaviors won't be tolerated.  I laughed which I don't think he appreciated.  And I'm sure I had a 'that's a dumb idea' look on my face.  He further went on to say to handle the situation by: "one, no climbing...two, no climbing...three, NO MAM no climbing. And get a time-out chair and hold her firmly but lovingly for the amount of minutes for their age.  She's one so for 60 seconds."  Uhhhhh????!!!!!  I was thinking more like a spanking.

Needing a nap didn't help the situation but thankfully throw-up was avoided although I think she came close.
After Memphis Pizza Cafe a nap was the best medicine.
