7 months old

Charles is 7 months!
  • he has sores on his knees from crawling
  • brave puller upper.  Holds on one handed and will move to nearby objects.  So I guess he is starting to cruise.
  • plays in bed content when he wakes up most of the time
  • gently moves down when he is standing and doesn't fall violently unless an accident.  Clayton violently just fell down when she was done standing.
  • likes crawling under his exersaucer
  • gives the biggest smiles
  • looks at his momma and smiles real big
  • "silly whompee" is his nickname

Disney Princesses on Ice

We got Clayton Disney Princesses on Ice tickets.
The boys stayed at home while the girls had a dinner date at Lost Pizza before heading to the show.
Clayton was pretty much in awe and thrilled with graphics overload.
Instead of buying an overpriced toy, we settled for an overpriced $12 snow cone so it was a souvenir and snack in one.
My date had a blast.  And for good measure, we bought another $12 snow cone as we were leaving because she really wanted the Ariel cup (and this mom is a sucker).
Tired was not in her vocabulary as she wanted to play princess continue her princess fix and then chef while she ate her second snow cone.

6 Month Check-Up

Charles' 6 month check-up:
18 pounds 6 ounces
27.5" long
17.25" head

Harris was able to go to this check-up.  I'm not sure why I didn't make him responsible for holding the child down since I'm always the bad guy.
Clayton loves going to Charles' check-ups since she isn't getting shots and gets rewarded.

Color Run

A friend, Shelby, was running the Color Run and even though I hadn't run very far recently, I thought it sounded fun.  I determined that my running shoes were not in any shape to run a 5K.  So I bought new shoes but came to my senses that I didn't want my new shoes (that weren't cheap) to get dirty.  As my mom was going to pick up my race packet, I realized that Mary would love this race so she signed her up!   We woke up early to head to the event and it was COLD outside.

All clean selfie.
We took pictures after each station to show our color progression.
=yellow
 =yellow+orange

 =yellow+orange+pink
  =yellow+orange+pink+blue
We finished!  And we only briefly walked once.

We stayed for the after ceremony.  Which was full of music and color bombs.  Mary loved it!
After awhile, I had all I could stand so I got out of the pack and Mary continued with the color explosions.
We had a fun morning together.  Definitely recommend everyone participating in a color run….and don't be scared that "run" is in the title….lastly, certainly don't buy new shoes for it.
