Harris got Clayton Sesame Street Live tickets. I had no clue if Clayton would enjoy it and honestly thought we would be there for 2 minutes before Clayton started screaming and we would be running out. And thought there was no way she would sit still long enough to make more than 5 minutes.
Clayton's 1st "concert."
Harris cousin, Clinton and family, Deidre and Darby who live in Starkville, got tickets as well so we enjoyed dinner and visiting with them before hand. The boys probably mainly enjoyed the beer.
(excuse my hair...my hairdresser is now fired!)
She sat in my lap for the first half and the look on her face was pretty much, "what the heck are these things dancing around and they better not try to touch me when then come down the aisle!"
Clayton still confused and her parents wanting alcohol. She nervously chewed on her hands most of the first half.
A breakthrough...hands out of her mouth, smiling, and waving her arms dancing!
During intermission, of course we had to indulge in concert concessions, nachos! And Harris enjoyed a hot dog. She saw a Sesame Street poster in the lobby and Clayton started yelling in excitement pointing to the characters. So maybe she was really liking it.
She happily 'skipped' back to our seats anticipating more music and this was her face the rest of the time.
Hyped up on "What Makes Music....Everything Makes Music", she didn't want to go to sleep and this was her Sesame Street trance.
Clayton doesn't watch more than 2 minutes of TV (ADHD) but since her 1st 'concert' she has loved watching Elmo DVDs. It's amazing! She is even asking Santa for Sesame Street Live in Memphis tickets! Harris says Disney on Ice is now a must since she loved it so much. (Oh, how our lives have changed.)
