It was a long weekend for us as Harris had Veteran's Day off from work. So what did we do? We headed to Memphis, of course. I was informed by the hubs that, "It's hunting season! We won't be here (in Tupelo) for a weekend until well after the beginning of the year." That makes it official....we are nomads.
I spent Friday running errands with my mom. The main two things on my list were a bank deposit and to buy stamps. No go....they are both closed on Veteran's Day, duh. Anywho, we got a few things accomplished.

Guess she was trying to avoid playing tacky dress-up.

Chris and Phillip went out to dinner for Phillip's birthday, so Ella and Mary spent the night at my parents.

Sadie was in heaven with her two new squirrels.

They made PawPaw and Phillip a birthday cake.
Ella giving Clayton a hug.
We had to pry Clayton out of the Chinese restaurant after I showed her the fish pond.

And when we got home the playing began....

Ella giving Clayton a hug.
This is usually how their playing goes.
Clayton gets a toy.
Ella goes after it so Clayton usually cries but this time she got another one.
Ella goes after the new one.
So Clayton got a third one.
And they show each other their toys giving the other one false hope that they can have it.
I picked up Mary at 5pm from art club and Clayton was beyond excited to see her. She just kept looking at Mary and giving her hugs.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to those who are serving, those who have, and those who will. It is because of you taking time away from your family that I can be with mine. Happy Veteran's Day!
